Bewerang urge Eagles to up the stake ahead next fixture

NFF Technical director Bitrus Bewerang has urged the Super Eagles to up the stake ahead of the team’s next AFCON tie against the Syli national of Guinea following the team’s 1-0 opening win against debutant Burundi over the course of the weekend.

Bewerang speaking in a chat with brila.net said it was good enough to commence the nations cup on a winning note but also imperative to state clearly that the Eagles can still do better and need to raise the ante from their next fixture.
He stressed that the Super Eagles cannot at this point afford to rest on their laurels yet.
“It’s a good start as we have seen and I hope they are able to maintain the performance and even better. And then we should not sleep on our oars, I expect that they will starts better fireworks even from their next fixture.”
