Better national team performance will improve the stock of Nigerian players – Aghahowa

Former Nigeria international Julius Aghahowa has stated that a much improved and consistently good national team outing by the Super Eagles of Nigeria will help enhance the stock of Nigerian players in the European transfer window after the closure of the 2021 January transfer window last night.

Aghahowa told  brila.net that the reason for the low profile of Nigerian players in the transfer window is down to the not so spectacular performance of Nigeria’s National team stressing that a consistently good performance for the Super Eagles will also announce the players and enhance increase their demand in the transfer window.
“The reason for that is the performance of the national team itself. If people are watching the national team their performance their result in the last 5 or 6 games and people are tracking. They track the players to their national team especially back home. If it’s Europe they track players to their club and but African players find them when they are playing for the national team. If we look at our position, it is not that spectacular and that alone will not make our players sell.”
