Benin Republic recorded a commanding 3-0 victory over Rwanda during their second CAF 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Group D qualifier.
The win takes Benin to six points, just one point behind group leaders Nigeria.
Nigeria maintained their top spot with a narrow 1-0 win over Libya, bringing their total to seven points.
Both teams will be in action again on Tuesday, with Nigeria set to face Libya in Benghazi, while Benin Republic will travel to Kigali to take on Rwanda.
Should both Nigeria and Benin Republic win their respective fixtures, they would secure the top two spots in Group D with 10 and nine points respectively, leaving Libya and Rwanda, each with only one point after three matches, and out of contention for qualification to Morocco 2025.
