Galatasaray forward, Michy Batshuayi has expressed his delight at the arrival of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, stating that the two will work together to help the club achieve its goals.
Osimhen’s signing increases competition in Galatasaray’s attack, especially with Mauro Icardi currently sidelined by injury.
Against Rizespor over the weekend, Osimhen started, while Batshuayi came on as a substitute, with the duo showing promising link-up play.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Batshuayi says they are focused on winning trophies.
“There are three great forwards, and all of us are here to contribute to Galatasaray. The most important thing is for the team to secure victories,” he said.
“We’ve developed a good understanding and must now carry Galatasaray toward success,” Batshuayi added.
The strikers are expected to be in action when Galatasaray face Fenerbahce in a crucial Istanbul derby on Saturday.
Galatasaray are leading the table with 15 points, two more than Fenerbahce after five matches.
