Rivers Hoopers coach Odaudu Ogoh has called on the Nigeria Basketball Federation to act fast and come up with a selection criteria for the Country’s representative at the 2023 edition of the Basketball Africa League (BAL).
FIBA Africa recently released the qualifying date pathway for next year’s BAL competition, it is the third edition of the competition which sees the League and regional Champions across Africa compete for honors.
In a chat with www.brila.net, Ogoh expects the NBBF to decide on whether to pick a representative through selection or competition, but emphasized the process must avoid rancor.
‘The earlier all these are done, the better for the eventual representative as well.’
Nigeria will not be part of next month’s qualifying competition because it has an automatic slot at the final BAL tournament as one of the elite nations.
