So much have been written and said in the build-up to the Barcelona, Chelsea encounter which promises to be a spectacle.

The Catalonians come into the game with an away goal advantage after holding the London side to a 1-1 draw in the 1st leg at Stamford Bridge a fortnight ago.

Chelsea coach, Antonio Conte will fancy his chances in this year’s Champions League having missed out in his bid to retain the Premier League title.

Chelsea is currently fifth on the PL table and the FA Cup would be their only hope of silverware this term should they crash out this evening.

Barcelona, on the other hand, will cherish the opportunity to do the treble this term.

Currently top of the La Liga table and already in the Copa del Rey finals, a win over Chelsea this evening will keep the treble dream on course.

Who will play?

Barcelona will be without Portuguese defender, Nelson Semedo and Dennis Suarez due to injury.

Brazilian playmaker Coutinho is ineligible to play tonight. The London side doesn’t have any major injury concern as the Conte would likely stick with the same squad that executed the 1st leg assignment.

Barcelona coach, Ernesto Vervelde has already acknowledged it won’t be an easy ride. He made the statement during yesterday’s pre-match conference.

“The small details can end up deciding the game. That’s what happens when you have such great players out on the field”

“I don’t know what might happen tomorrow. They may press us up high, they may attack from out wide. We know that when they sit back, they’re very strong and difficult to beat.”

“There is no secret formula other than to keep trying hard and being consistent.” – Ernesto said.
