Rangers Manager Steven Gerrard says he’s unsure if Leon Balogun will be ready to return to the squad for weekend game.
Balogun sustained head injury in the midweek defeat to St Mirren and was replaced in the 84th minutes.
Gerrard revealed the 32 year-old Super Eagles defender was left the field feeling dizzy as the clash of head with Jonathan Obika towards the end of the match.
Gerrard told the press that he’s still waiting for medical reports on Balogun before naming his team for Saturday’s Premiership encounter against Motherwell at Ibrox Stadium.
“He’s a bit dizzy. So we will analyse him over the next couple of days and take advice from the medical staff,” Gerrard was quoted by Glasgow Times.
“Hopefully he can pull through. If not, we have Fil available again.” He said.
Balogun who joined Rangers as free transfer in the summer, has been integral part of Rangers success this season.
The former Mainz 05 defender has played 16 matches for the Gers so far this season.
