Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun didn’t get a minute of action in his first European final as Rangers lost to Eintracht Frankfurt in Europa League.
After ten games and two goals in the Europa League his season, Balogun was hoping to play a his first ever European final, but didn’t get Giovanni Van Bronckhorst’s nod.
The CB watched from the bench as the Dutch manager opted to start Calvin Bassey and Conor Goldson in the heart of the defense.
Balogun has dropped down the perking order for The Gers and it is unclear, if he will get minutes in the Scottish Cup final billed for Saturday.
Despite missing out on a place in the final, Balogun made ten appearances in the Europa League and scored twice.
He has played 18 European football game since last season — most by a Nigerian defender.
