South Africa’s head coach Hugo Broos has commenced preparations for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria and Zimbabwe.
Broos’ has named a preliminary squad of 36 players as Bafana Bafana gears up for next month’s qualifiers.
The Belgian coach will then trim down the squad to 24 for the games.
South Africa is set to clash with Nigeria at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, June 7.
Following this, they will host Zimbabwe at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on Tuesday,June 11, 2024.
Currently, Bafana Bafana sits second in Group C with three points from two games, while the Super Eagles are in third place with two points from the same number of matches.
