Defeat in a playoff game stings bad and clearly it was tough for Lobi Stars Head Coach Evans Ogenyi who couldn’t resist taking a dig at Rangers and his opposite number’s game strategy in the 2-1 loss on Thursday.
Rangers picked up their first win of the NPFL Super 6 at the expense of the league holders.
Two first half goals by the Flying Antelopes and a medley of game management tactics in the second half limited Lobi Stars, and not to the delight of Evans.
In his post game presser, the Coach slammed the opponents for playing negative football, and more so expressed a quite angst about how they celebrated the win.
“We believe History is always on our side, because for over three season Rangers have never beaten my team; home and away, that’s why they celebrated like they had won the world cup.
“A match of this magnitude can have gone either way, they’re lucky to have scored two goals.
“You saw towards the end of the game they coming out with a lot antics, a lot of dull defensive tactics, falling on the ground to make sure they waste time,” the Lobi Stars head Coach said.
