Yeni Malayatspor go-to-guy,  Azubuike Okechukwu has the chance of helping the club gain promotion to the Super Lig at the end of the season,  and the player says it’ll be a “major achievement.”.

Okechukwu, who joined the TFF 1.Lig side in 2015 has become an integral member of the team, and his versatility gives the coach options in many areas on the pitch.

But, aside his contributions in the side, his determination to succeed has driven him thus far and everything he touches, seemingly, turns gold even in Turkey.

Okechukwu captained Nigeria to a first ever U23 Afcon gold and subsequently won bronze at the Rio 2016 football event.

He told brila.net that his objective when he joined the lower league outfit from Warri Wolves in the Nigerian league, was to ensure promotion to the top flight of Turkish football.

With everything to gain and nothing to lose, given his rising stock, the player stands only three matches away from achieving that ambition.
