Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi contributed an assist in Nottingham Forest’s recent 1-1 draw against Burnley in the Premier League match held on Monday.
This is Awoniyi’s second consecutive assist, following his previous assist in Forest’s 1-0 victory against Chelsea.
Awoniyi played for 88 minutes, while his compatriot Ola Aina featured for the entirety of the game.
Burnley took the lead in the 41st minute with a goal scored by Mohamed Amdouni.
However, Awoniyi’s assist allowed former Chelsea player Callum Hudson-Odoi to equalize for Nottingham Forest in the 61st minute.
Awoniyi now has three goals and two assists in five league appearances for Nottingham Forest.
Ola Aina also played a significant part in the game for the Tricky Trees.
With this draw, Nottingham Forest has climbed up to the eighth position in the league standings, accumulating seven points after five games.
