Awoniyi put Forest ahead inside the opening minutes following a perfect solo run from his own half. It was the Forward’s third goal of the season and he became the first Nottingham Forest player to score in seven consecutive Premier League games. He’s also the only third African player to score in seven successive PL games, after Emmanuel Adebayor and Mohamed Salah. Meanwhile his teammates, Ola Aina also featured for Forest at Old Trafford and played for the entire duration of the game. The third Nigerian on the team’s roster Emmanuel Dennis was missing in action. Dennis is yet to taste action in the league this season.
