In the wake of Nottingham Forest’s decision to part ways with manager Steve Cooper, forward Taiwo Awoniyi has conveyed his gratitude to the departing coach for realizing his dream of playing in the Premier League.

Cooper, whose tenure ended on Tuesday after a series of disappointing performances, brought Awoniyi to the City Ground last summer.

The Tricky Trees, endured a poor run of form with five losses in their last six Premier League matches led the dismissal of Cooper.

Forest have since announced former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur manager, Nuno Espirito Santo as their new Manager.

Expressing his appreciation to the Welshman, Awoniyi stated that the former Manager played a crucial role in actualizing his dream of competing in the Premier League.

“Thank you for helping me make my big dream come true and bringing out the best in me. All the very best Gaffer,” he shared on Instagram.

Last season, Taiwo Awoniyi scored 10 goals in 25 league appearances under Steve Cooper.
