Striker Taiwo Awoniyi scored twice as Union Berlin beat Bochum 3-2 in Saturday’s German Bundelisga clash.
The Nigerian scored in the 24th and 80th minute to seal the victory for his team.
The victory however guaranteed Union Berlin a place in the UEFA Europa League next season.
As for Awoniyi, he ended the season with 15 goals from 31 Bundesliga game, ten goals more than last season.
Grischa Promel scored the opening goal of the match in the fifth minute and Awoniyi made it 2-0 twenty minutes later.
Bochum halved the deficit in the 55th minute through Simon Zoller before Eduard Lowen grabbed the equalizer in the 79th minute.
Awoniyi scored the winner in the 88th minute to seal fifth place for Union Berlin – with 57 points.
