Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina tasted defeat with Nottingham Forest at Liverpool on Sunday.

Awoniyi and Aina played a part in the game but could not save their team from losing 3-0 at Anfield.

The Forward, missed the last three weeks due to groin problem, but returned to bench after almost three weeks on sideline.

He came on for his eight league appearance of the season with 26 minutes left to on the clock. Awoniyi who has scored three goals and two assists in the ongoing league season was limited to few touches in opponents half.

His compatriot, Ola Aina, also returned from injury and has named among the starters. Aina played for 69 minutes in what was his seventh appearances of the season for the Steve Cooper’s
men.

Meanwhile, the match featured quickfire goals from Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez before half time, followed by Mohamed Salah’s second-half strike enabling Jurgen Klopp’s team to maintain their flawless home record in the Premier League this season.

With this win, Liverpool are three points behind the league leaders, Tottenham, while Nottingham Forest, sits in 16th place, five points above the relegation zone after their fourth defeat in six away games this season.
