Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem has shared his experience under interim head coach Finidi George.
Finidi, a former international winger, will lead the Super Eagles against Ghana and Mali in his official role as head coach.
Awaziem, currently in camp for the games, expressed his admiration for Coach’s approach.
“We are all getting along well with our coach (Finidi), and he knows everything. He has been part of us, so I don’t think it will be difficult for him,” the defender said.
He went on to describe the team’s first training session with Finidi.
“He (Finidi) has done amazingly well in his first training sessions, and I believe we are going to have good work with him,” Awaziem added.
Looking ahead to the match against Ghana, Awaziem said the team is determined to perform well, acknowledging the historic rivalry between both teams.
“Honestly, we are planning to have a good game against Ghana, and we know the rivalry exists, so we are prepared for the game,” he said.
“Football is not a game of fight. We all want to fight for our country,” concluded the Boavista player.
