Guinea based Nigerian Footballer Simeon Bolaji Sakin is upbeat that his side Horoya Athletic Club will overturn the 2-0 deficit against JS Kabyile of Algeria in the CAF Champions League.
The Guinean Champions were beaten in Algeria in the first leg first round CAF Champions League fixture and must now score three unreplied goals at home to go through to the next round and the Nigerian is optimistic they will go through.
He said “Unfortunately we lost in Algeria even though we had a good preparation, but that’s Football for you. We already put that behind and we are looking forward to the second leg”.
He added that “We will surely overturn the deficit, our home is our fortress as we have been in more difficult situations and we scaled through”.
Sakin moved to Guinea from Rivers United in 2017, he featured in the past in the colours of Abia Warriors and Wikki Tourists
Sources have confirmed that three time African Champions Nigeria will take on former world champions Brazil in an international friendly in October.
The Super Eagles were involved in a friendly with Ukraine on September 10 at the Dnipro Arena which ended 2-2 and the Nigeria Football Federation confirmed that it will make use of all FIFA free windows for the Nigerian National Team.
