Head coach of Panama Hernan Dario Gomez has banned his players from seeing their partners during this summer’s World Cup in Russia. Panama will be taking part in their first ever World Cup this summer, taking on Belgium, England, and Tunisia in Group G. Nigeria Super Eagles will today undergo the mandatory ‘Open Door’ training session at the Essentuki Arena from 4 pm local time, which is 2 pm Nigeria time. The Super Eagles squad of 23 players will train after coach Gernot Rohr said all the players are fit and ready for the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup. The training session is open to the public and it will be for at least an hour. The Super Eagles’ opening group game is Saturday night against Croatia in Kaliningrad.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles arrived in Russia around 11 pm on Monday night as they begin their quest to surpass the round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup. The team who departed Austria yesterday where they played their last friendly game against Czech last week, will play Argentina, Croatia, and Iceland in Group D at the Mundial. The Super Eagles are expected to have their first training on Tuesday afternoon ahead of their opening fixture against Croatia on Saturday, June 16. The Super Eagles will stay at their base camp in Essentuki during the group stage of the competition.
Stoke City have signed Nigeria international midfielder Oghenekaro Peter Etebo on a five-year contract from Portuguese club Feirense, the second-tier Championship club said on Monday.
