Nigeria will host the 2021 WAFU Cup of Nations, according to a statement signed by the title sponsors of the sub-regional tournament. Nigeria has been named as home to the third edition of the WAFU Cup of Nations to take place in September, in 2021. The home-based Eagles lost in the final of the 2017 WAFU Cup to hosts Ghana. However, Senegal will host next year’s edition also in September after Ghana hosted the revamped biennial championship last year. The two-week tournament will be played in September 2019.
