The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has sent invites to athletes and coaches for its National Open Trials for the 12th All African Games scheduled to take place in Rabat, Morocco this year. The trials would take place at the Mainbowl of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja from June 24th to 27th. Two former Super Eagles stars, Edema Fuludu and Victor Ikpeba have been elected chairman and vice-chairman, respectively, of Delta State Football Association. Fuludu defeated his opponent in the chairmanship election with 20 votes to 4. Ikpeba won the vice-chairmanship election with 23 votes to 0 as his opponent refused to vote.
