Kano Pillars media officer Idris Malikawa has confirmed the resignation of coach Kadiri Ikhana from the Kano based side on medical ground. Ikhana’s resignation was recieved by the club Sunday evening after Pillars’ 3-1 defeat to Rangers in Enugu although he wasn’t on the bench for the encounter. Malikawa said the club will make a decision on the vacant position of head coach before the week runs out. President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation Daniel Igali has stated that it is still a dicey situation for Nigerian wrestlers with three days to the commencement of the African wrestling championship which starts this week in Marakech Morocco. Having completed its assignment in Rio during the Olympic Games, the Minister of Youth and Sports Barrister Solomon Dalung thanked the committee headed by Muhammed Abdullahi for their service to the country and wished the members well in their future endeavours.
