Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala was back on the scoresheet, scoring a penalty for Bay FC in a 1-0 victory over Seattle Reign at Lumen Field in the NWSL.
Seattle Reign controlled possession early in the match, but Bay FC took advantage of an opportunity in the 27th minute.
Oshoala, in from of 9,052 spectators, stepped up to convert a penalty, sending the ball into the lower left corner, giving Bay FC the lead.
This goal boosts Bay FC’s playoff hopes as they are now tied with Portland in seventh place with 28 points, with four matches left in the regular season.
Moving forward, Asisat Oshoala will be needed more as Bay FC looks to secure one of the top eight spots for the playoffs.
Their next challenge is against third-placed Gotham FC on Saturday, followed by a season finale on November 2 against Houston Dash.
