Asisat Oshoala etched her name into the record books by scoring Bay FC’s inaugural goal in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), leading her team to a 1-0 triumph over Angel City FC.

Oshoala, making her debut for the newly acquired team, found the back of the net just 17 minutes into the match, clinching the decisive goal in a historic victory.

The 29-year-old Nigerian forward joined Albertin Montoya’s squad from Barcelona Ladies last month, marking a surprise move from the European powerhouse to Bay FC in the United States of America.

Prior to her move from Barcelona, she amassed an impressive record of 85 goals in 101 league appearances. Her accomplishments included winning the UEFA Women’s Champions League title twice with the Blaugrana.

Having previously showcased her talent with Arsenal and Liverpool Ladies, Oshoala’s addition to Bay FC’s roster has already proven to be a game-changer.
