Ashleigh Plumptre has expressed delight following her campaign with Nigeria the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
It was Plumptre’s first major senior international tournament with the Super Falcons, but unfortunately, the team finished fourth behind South Africa, Morocco and Zambia.
“Thank you for the lessons learnt, experiences had and the opportunity to represent way more than just myself. Morocco, thank you,” Plumptre tweeted, Wednesday.
Proud to have batted alongside a resilient and determined group of women for 5 weeks at my first senior major tournament.
Thank you for the lessons learnt, experiences had and the opportunity to represent way more than just myself.
Morocco, thank you.
