Super Falcons defender, Ashleigh Plumptre has left Leicester City, the club confirmed.

Plumptre, 25, on Thursday leaves the club following the expiration of her contract.

The Nigerian international made 23 appearances for the Foxes last season, and helped the club to beat relegation.

She joined Leicester City in 2020 from the University of Southern California’s USC Trojans and went on to make 79 appearances for the team.

Also, She was part of the team that lifted the Barclays Women’s Championship title in 2021, and subsequently played a key role in City’s two maiden seasons in the women’s top flight.

Plumptre who is currently in Australia preparing for the World Cup with Nigeria is now a Free Agent.
