AS Trenčín Secures Suleiman

Slovakian club AS Trenčín has announced the signing of Nigerian forward, Sani Suleiman.

The 17 year-old has agreed to a two-year contract with the option for an additional year.

Suleiman, who last played for Nigeria Premier Football League side Akwa United, joined the Promise Keepers during the mid-season transfer window and made a significant impact.

He scored 11 goals and provided five assists in 15 league appearances, helping the Uyo-based club avoid relegation.

Before his stint with Akwa United, Suleiman played for Nigeria National League outfit Wikki Tourists.

His impressive performances earned him the NPFL Rookie of the Season award at the League Bloggers Award last weekend.

Suleiman’s move to AS Trenčín puts him in the company of notable Nigerian players such as Moses Simon, Samuel Kalu, and Hilary Gong, who have previously represented the Slovakian club.
