Africa number 1 ranked Table tennis player Quadri Aruna have highlighted positives from Nigeria’s participation at the just concluded International Table Tennis Federation world championship in Budapest Hungary.
Aruna speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the world championship for him was his best personally in the competition to have progressed to the round of 32.
The Tennis star also hailed compatriot and younger national team colleague Jide Omotayo as well as a newbie in the women’s game Ajoke Ojomu for showing flashes of brilliance at the world championship stating that with the right level of support and encouragement the future looks bright for the players.
“In the history of world championship in my career this is the best for me so far and of course Jide has been playing in a lot of tournament so far for years now and Ojomu is just coming to the world championship for the first  time, so I think they have  gained a lot and for sure in future if Nigeria can continue to encourage them by attending more tournaments I think they will be able to participate very well against the best players in the world.”
Nigeria ended without a podium finish at the just concluded tourney in Hungary.
