Arsenal’s record signing, Ivory Coast international Nicolas Pepe has set his sights on ending the Premier League club’s European trophy drought, declaring that Unai Emery’s side will win this season’s Europa League.
Pepe, 24, signed a five-year with Arsenal, after the club agreed a £72 million fee for the winger.
He has only featured for 63 minutes in two league games for the Gunners, but the player already sees the team’s ambition and is confident they can aspire for big things this season.
“I chose to come here because it’s a club with a lot of ambition. The idea is to win the Europa League and do better than last season. I believe we will,” he told the club’s website.
