Reports are suggesting Arsenal are on the brink of finalizing a deal worth £60m for Borussia Dortmund hit-man, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
As a result, the 28-year-old Aubameyang is very much on the line to becoming the Gunners’ record signing.
And that is set to happen only five months after they broke their previous record to land a center-forward, Alexandre Lacazette.
Arsenal have reportedly made a club-record offer for Aubameyang which dwarfs the £52m they paid for yet another striker, Lacazette.
And the two parties are in serious negotiations at this very moment for the prolific attacker, according to valid reports.
Meanwhile, the North London outfit have reportedly spoken about doing a straight-cash business with the German heavyweights for Aubameyang’s services.
But the Bundesliga giants have, however, revealed their keen interest in a part-exchange deal.
This deal would see French targetman, Giroud who is surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium move the other way.
The Gunners on their part are lining Aubameyang up as a suitable replacement for new Manchester United attacker, Alexis Sanchez.
Aubameyang has so far netted 21 goals in 24 games in every competition for his Bundesliga side this very season.
A report has also dropped a hint that Arsenal could end up parting ways with £60m to land Aubameyang’s services.
