Arsenal are reportedly considering a January move for AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze to bolster their attacking options following Bukayo Saka’s injury setback.
According to TeamTalk, the Gunners are willing to include defender Jakub Kiwior in a swap deal for the Super Eagles star.
Saka suffered a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace, ruling him out for an estimated two months.
Although surgery has been avoided, his absence during a critical phase of the season has left manager Mikel Arteta exploring options to maintain the team’s momentum.
Chukwueze, 25, has been on Arsenal’s radar for some time and was also recently linked with a move to Aston Villa. However, his performances for AC Milan since his €21.1 million transfer from Villarreal have been underwhelming.
The Nigerian winger has managed three goals and one assist in 21 appearances this season, though most of those appearances have come from the bench.
Last season, Chukwueze recorded three goals and three assists in 33 games across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Kiwior, who joined Arsenal in January 2023, has struggled to secure regular game time, featuring in just eight Premier League matches this season.
The 24-year-old defender is not considered a key player at the Emirates and could be part of the deal to bring Chukwueze to North London.
Arsenal’s pursuit of Chukwueze highlights their intent to strengthen the squad as they aim to stay competitive during the second half of the season. With Saka sidelined, the Nigerian winger could provide Arteta with an alternative option to maintain attacking depth.
This potential deal could mark a turning point for both players, with Chukwueze getting an opportunity to revive his form and Kiwior seeking more playing time elsewhere.
