Arokodare’s Late Goal Propels Genk To Comeback Victory Over Champions

KRC Genk staged a dramatic comeback to secure a 3-2 victory over reigning champions Club Brugge in their Belgian Pro League clash on Sunday.

Tolu Arokodare played a crucial role, scoring the equalizer just seven minutes from time, setting the stage for Genk’s win.

Club Brugge initially took control of the match, racing to a 2-0 lead.

However, Genk mounted a spirited fightback, with Arokodare’s goal marking the turning point in the match.

The 23 year-old has been in fine form, having also found the back of the net in Genk’s 3-1 defeat to OH Leuven last weekend.

He featured for the full 90 minutes in both matches and has two goals in three games.

Yira Sor, another Nigerian talent, also contributed to Genk’s victory.  He came on as a substitute for Christopher Baah in the 66th minute.
