Nigerian striker Toluwalase Arokodare bagged another brace for Valmiera in their flawless victory over Ventspils on Monday night.
The game which took place at the Vidzemes Olimpiskais Centrs Sia saw Tolu Arokodare and Ventspils’ goalkeeper Dele Alampasu go head to head and it was the striker who had the last laugh with his two beautiful goals.
Portuguese youngster Jorge Duarte Rodrigues Mendes Teixeira scored the first goal of the game for Valmiera in the 33rd minutes, after beating Alampasu from close range.
Arokodare later added two further goals in the second half to put the game beyond Alampasu and his teammates.
The first of the two goals came from a fantastic finish, while the second strike was from the penalty spot.
The two goals however out Tolu Arokodare on top of the scoring chart with 9 goals from 12 matches so far this season.
The young enterprising forward also has two assists to his name in the current season.
The win took Valmieras to 4th on the table with 18 points, one place ahead of Ventspils who have garnered 15 from the season so far.
