Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of Nigeria international, Tolu Arokodare from Belgian side KRC Genk.
He joins the Premier League club on a four-year deal, with the option of a further year.
The 24-year-old forward moves to Molineux after a prolific spell in Belgium, where he became a key figure for Genk over two seasons.
Standing at 1.97m, Arokodare will provide a powerful presence in Vítor Pereira’s attack.
Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Arokodare paid tribute to Genk and their supporters as he prepared for the next chapter of his career.
“After two years with this club and amazing fans, it’s time for me to take the next step in my career. I want to thank every single teammate, coach and supporter who has been with me on this journey. The city of Genk has been nothing but good to me, and it will always be a place that I’ll treasure. I leave proud to have played for this badge and wish the club nothing but success in the future.”
Arokodare began his youth career in Nigeria before moving to Europe in 2019 with Latvian side Valmiera, where he scored 22 goals in 34 matches.
He later enjoyed loan spells at FC Köln in Germany and Amiens SC in France, registering 21 goals across two Ligue 2 campaigns.
In January 2023, he joined Genk and quickly became a central figure, narrowly missing out on the Belgian Pro League title in his first half-season.
Last campaign, he netted 21 league goals to claim the Golden Boot, awarded on away goals after a tie on totals.
On the international stage, Arokodare has four caps for Nigeria and scored his first goal for the Super Eagles in June against Russia.
He began the current campaign with a strike against Standard Liège in August before sealing his move to the Premier League.
