Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo admits his first season at Southampton was a difficult experience.
Aribo joined the Saints for £8 million last summer after a scintillating spell with Rangers.
The former Charlton Athletics man started his Southampton career on a positive note, starting games, and scored couple of goals.
However change of managers didn’t help as he later lost his place in the squad, watching most of the second half of the season from the bench as they got relegated.
“For me, very frustrating,” Aribo told Planet Sport Football Africa podcast while reviewing the past season.
“It was tough because you want to do so well for yourself, you know. I had a new challenge and I wanted to hit the ground running.”
The 26-year-old has been linked with a potential return to his former club Rangers.
