Southampton midfielder, Joe Aribo expressed his delight with the team’s strong performance in their pre-season campaign.

The Saints have secured three victories so far, with their latest triumph coming against Ligue 1 club Montpellier on Saturday.

“It felt like a good win for us, a solid performance from the boys,” Aribo said to the club’s official website.

“Throughout the 90 minutes, we showed good intent. We were effective both on and off the ball, so it was a well-rounded performance.”

Aribo contributed significantly during the game, playing for 60 minutes.

“For me, it’s about putting in a strong performance and getting some game time. I managed to get 60 minutes under my belt, so that’s a positive step,” he added.

Aribo looks forward to maintaining his form as the new season approaches next month.
