Former Celtic attacker Frank McAvennie is convinced that Joe Aribo will be a success in the English Premier League.
Aribo, 25, is wanted by Crystal Palace and Everton according to reports, but it’s unclear if Glasgow Rangers will let him go when the winter transfer window open.
The Nigerian international has less than two year left on his current deal with the Gers and he’s valued in the region of ten million pounds.
In a chat with Foootball Insider, McAvennie stated Aribo has what it takes to be successful in the Premier League and believes Rangers won’t be able to stand in the way of the midfielder, should he want to move.
“I think he’s gone up a level this season. He seems to be a vital player for Rangers now. He’s very versatile and that would serve him well in the Premier League.
“I have said this for years, if an offer from the Premier League comes in, you take it. It doesn’t matter who it is, it changes your life with money. No disrespect to Rangers, that’s just the way it is” The former Scotland coach said.
