Super Eagles duo of Leon Balogun and Joe Aribo helped Rangers to their second win in the Scottish premier league on Sunday.
Both players were in the starting line up against St Mirren as Rangers made it two consecutive win victories in the two weeks old 2020-2021 league campaign.
It took Rangers just five minutes to test St Mirrens goalkeeper Jak Alnwick and from there it was one-way traffic against a defence happy to set up camp in their own box.
The visitors fell behind just after 23 minutes, no thanks to an own goal from Conny McCarthy.
Wantaway striker Alfredo Morelos added the other goals in the 69th and 74th minutes respectively to seal all three points.
Saints’ best moment of the opening period not even reaching the box as Leon Balogun halted Ilkay Durmas’ breakaway surge with a perfectly-timed tackle.
Aribo and Balogun played the entire duration of the game for the Gers and they will be hoping to keep their place in the team when they host St Johnstone at Ibrox on Wednesday.
