Midfielder Joe Aribo highlights the importance of starting their 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers with a win.
The Super Eagles kicked start their campaign with a 2-1 victory against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in Abuja on Thursday.
Speaking at the post-match Conference, Aribo admitted that the Super Eagles weren’t convincing, but it’s important to start with a victory.
“It’s important to win our first game of the qualifiers. We can play better, we will continue to improve and we will get better. We are working with the new manager and following his philosophy.” He said.
The Super Eagles will travel to Morroco where they’ll face Sao Tome and Principe on Monday.
