ARGENTINA IS NOT UNBEATABLE – SUPER EAGLES COACH, SALISU YUSUF

Super Eagles B coach Salisu Yusuf has stated that Argentina is a beatable side as the November glamour game against the Nigeria national team approaches.
The Super Eagles B tactician made the assertion in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, Nigeria.

Two-time World champions, Argentina will lock horns with Nigeria in an international friendly game in Russia on 14 November 2017.

The Super Eagles were beaten 3-2 by Argentina in their last meeting which was a 2014 FIFA World Cup Group F match in Brazil.

Salisu said Argentina’s track records would not be an advantage because the two teams would play the match based on their current form.

“My players are equal to the task anytime anywhere,” Salisu said.

“And we are not afraid of big names because big names no longer play football.

“But talent and determination are key to winning matches.”

Before taking on Argentina, the Super Eagles will face Algeria in their last 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier on 10 November 2017.

The match will be played in Algeria and Super Eagles have already qualified for the finals as Group B winners.

Meanwhile, former goalkeeper and captain of the senior national team of Nigeria Vincent Enyeama who ‎is back in training with French Ligue 1 side Lille has hinted about a possible return to the first team when they take on Marseille this weekend.

Enyeama was axed alongside ten others by new coach of Lille Marcelo Bielsa, but the Nigerian is back in training with the team after recovering from a knee surgery in the summer.

Lille have struggled to replace the 35-year-old in goal as they have conceded 14 goals in nine matches this season with only six points picked, a poor run of form that also means they are 19th in the 20 team table.

The two goalkeepers brought into the team to replace Enyeama, Kouakou Herve Koffi and Mike Maignan who was Enyeama’s understudy last season have all failed to impress in his absence.

A post on Enyeama’s official twitter handle @Vinpee suggest he could be back in action this weekend for the big game against Marseille at their home ground the Stade Pierre-Mauroy ” Weekend seems closer”, he posted alongside a video of himself doing some shooting drills.
