Anthony Ujah opened scoring as early as the eight minute for Liaoning in the 2-1 win over Chongqing Lifan in the Chinese Super League on Saturday.
Ujah’s goal was the his second of the season in six appearances for the club. And Saturday’s victory saw Liaoning move to seventh on the table.
He racked up another 90 minutes of action – he’s only failed to get 90 minutes action on three occasions since his move to China.
Ujah, 26, joined the CSL outfit in 2016 from Bundesliga side SV Werder Bremen after one season at the Weserstadion.
At the time the move hurt his chances with the Nigeria senior team despite scoring five goals in fifteen appearances for his new club.
