Anthony Joshua unified the WBA, IBF and WBO world heavyweight titles as a controlled performance saw him earn a unanimous points win over Joseph Parker at a tense Principality Stadium in Cardiff and hinted he wants Deontay Wilder and the WBC title.
As per Martin Domin [Mirror Sport] Deontay Wilder wasted little time in responding to Anthony Joshua’s win.
The American holds the WBC world heavyweight world title – the final one Joshua needs to complete his collection and become undisputed champion.
Wilder had been due to be ringside in Cardiff but stayed at home when he was told he would not be able to enter the ring for a face-off.
But he was quick to call out Joshua following his unanimous points win.
Wilder said: “He knows it, no matter what they say. You can’t bulls*** the public, I want the fight, let’s make it happen.
Joshua was announced as the winner by scores of 118-110, 118-110, 119-109 and was quick to mention Wilder’s name.
And he said “Wilder or Tyson Fury next, either one.
“What would I have to do to beat Wilder? Get him in the ring and knock him spark out.”
