Anthony Joshua visits NIMC Lagos office, gets National Identification Number

World heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua has been enrolled for the National Identification Number in Nigeria.

The enrolment was done by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) on Tuesday in Lagos.

NIMC revealed it via their twitter handle, “Anthony Joshua enrolls for the National Identification Number and issued his NIN slip.”

Recall that on January 18, Joshua, after reclaiming his titles from Mexican boxer, Andy Ruiz Jnr, presented his belts to President Muhammadu Buhari while on a visit to London.

Since the NIMC posted photos of Joshua at its office on social media, it has sparked a series of reactions from Nigerians.

While some are commending Joshua for always flying the flag of Nigeria, other Twitter users are accusing the NIMC of a double standard, as they lament that the process of enrolling for NIN is always cumbersome which has discouraged many Nigerians from visiting the registration centers.
