Nigerian British heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua has leapfrogged Deontay Wilder in the latest Ring Magazine’s heavyweight rankings.

Joshua’s decisive victory over Otto Wallin propelled him to the second position, while Wilder suffered a substantial setback, plummeting in the rankings following his defeat to Joseph Parker during the ‘Day of Reckoning’ event in Saudi Arabia.

The main events unfolded with Parker securing a commanding unanimous decision over Wilder, and Anthony Joshua impressively stopping Otto Wallin.

As a consequence, Joshua now claims the number two spot, leaving the ‘champion’ title with Oleksandr Usyk, and Tyson Fury securing the number one position beneath him.

Wilder’s defeat has had a profound impact, causing him to slide all the way down to the ninth spot in the rankings, reflecting a challenging record of 1-3 since 2019.

Meanwhile, Nigerian Super heavyweight fighter Efe Ajagba finds no placement in the top ten rankings, raising eyebrows among fans and pundits alike.
