Anthony Joshua is intensifying preparation for one of the most important bouts of his career against Andy Ruiz Jr slated for December 7 in Saudi Arabia.
AJ will square up against Andy Ruiz Jr for a rematch in a bid to regain his WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles.
American Ruiz shocked the boxing world when he dropped Joshua four times at Madison Square Gardens in June , before the fight was stopped in the seventh round.
AJ will however aim to reclaim his , His promoter Eddie Hearn revealed the preparations for the December 7 bout are top notched this time around.
“It’s madness. There’s eight weeks to go, and he’s been in camp for four week already,” Hearn told Fino Boxing.
“A lot of early sparring now in replicating the style of Ruiz.
“Last time we had probably three weeks of sparring, and it was tough to find a guy like Ruiz, because there aren’t many like him.
“Small, a little bit chubby, fast hands, and really good on the inside.
“Now we’ve replicated that, and I feel like the preparation is going to be great. Andy Ruiz is in camp.”
Ruiz Jr, who inflicted a first professional defeat on Joshua, will be aiming to repeat the feat again in Saudi Arabia.
