Oleksandr Usyk has successfully defended his unified WBA, WBC, and WBO world heavyweight titles, defeating Tyson Fury in a highly intense rematch.
Usyk won by unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the fight 116-112 in his favor.
The 12-round battle took place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and saw both fighters give their all in a thrilling display of skill and endurance.
Usyk’s victory marks his second win over Fury, following their initial matchup in May.
Fury, who weighed in 50 pounds heavier than Usyk, had hoped to use his size advantage to overpower his opponent.
However, the Ukrainian’s superior technique and ring generalship ultimately proved too much for the British fighter.
The win cements Usyk’s position as the world’s top heavyweight boxer, and sets up the possibility of a trilogy fight with Fury.
For now, though, Usyk can bask in the glory of his hard-fought victory.
