Technical director of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria, Samuel Onikeku has backed Super star hurdler, Tobi Amusan to scale through unscathed again after the Athletics Integrity Unit filed an appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sports against the Disciplinary Tribunal’s verdict which cleared the Athlete of Anti-doping rule violation back in August 2023.

Onikeku speaking in a chat with BRL said Amusan’s latest success at the Diamond League is a testament to her pure and genuine abilities.

The Athletics chief also urged Nigerians to offer the track queen support and not allow the latest move by the AIU soil her name further or demoralize the 26 year-old.

Following her acquittal from all charges, Amusan featured at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, but failed to defend her title.

However, she bounced back at the Diamond League season finale where she coasted to gold beating a star packed field.

The CAS hearings begins in earnest for the Nigerian.
