Nigerian track star, Tobi Amusan placed second in the Women’s 100-meter hurdles race on Friday in the Lausanne Diamond League.
Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico won the contest with a timing of 12.40 seconds; Seven seconds faster than Amusan.
The Nigerian finished in 12.47 seconds, matching her season’s best time.
Meanwhile, Tia Jones finished in third place with a timing of 12.51 seconds.
Amusan’s performance marked a slight improvement compared to her third-place finish behind Camacho-Quinn and Tia at the continental tour event in Ostrava earlier in the week.
The three athletes are expected to return to the track, Sunday, in Stockholm.
Amusan, in particular, will aim to reach her peak performance yt, as she prepares to defend her title at the upcoming World Athletics Championship in Budapest later this year.
