Tobi Amusan is looking forward to competing at the Diamond League final in Zurich later this week.
The reigning World and Commonwealth champion, Tobi Amusan won the women’s 100mH at the 2022 ISTAF World Continental Tour Silver meeting in Berlin, Germany.
She won the race in a record time of 12.45 seconds, beating AmericanTia Jones and Megan Tapper at a time of 12.66 seconds.
Amusan will be up against undefeated Jasmine Camacho-Quinn in the final of the 100mH at Zurich DL.
The 25-year-old is gunning for two consecutive Diamond League titles, while Camacho-Quinn will be looking to make it 6 wins in six DL races.
“Clocking 12.45s which was the identical time I ran last weekend (Aug 26th) to finish 2nd at the Lausanne Diamond League. ”
“Next stop is the Diamond League final later this week. Same stadium my winning spree began last year when I became the first Nigerian to win a Diamond League Trophy. I look forward to that moment once again.”
Amusan already lost to Jasmine Camacho-Quinn in Lausanne last month.
