Amusan aims new world record at Golden Spike meet

Reigning world record holder Tobi Amusan is aiming to better her previous record, stating that running under 12 seconds remain a target for her.

Amusan dominated the 100m hurdles last season, winning the World championship in Oregon with a record time of of 12.12.

 

 

The commonwealth gold medalist even ran a time of 12.06 seconds in the final, but the time was not recognized as a new record and was tagged wind assisted.

“I’m a big believer in the Bible, nothing is impossible and 11 seconds? Most definitely,” Amusan told reporters.

The Nigerian is expected to be in action at the Golden Spike meet in the eastern Czech city of Ostrava later today.
